Ordered Kalibrgun Cricket .177 in black synthetic stock from Ballistas beginning January 2016. Cricket out of stock, so order placed with Kalibrgun, whose factory was on Xmas holiday until Jan 10th. Good communication via email with David at Ballistas. Took approx 4 weeks for Ballistas to get the order from Kalibrgun. Patience is needed. Ordering a cricket is not a quick task, but availability is limited, and delays seem to be at the Kalibrgun end. Once Ballitas had the gun made payment by bank transfer. Be aware for the transfer to clear my bank, be cleared and appear in the Ballistas account took around another week. Eventually received the Cricket about 6 weeks after ordering. Ordered 2 extra mags and cheek piece from Ballistas. Made saving of around £150 over ordering in UK from Cheshire Gun Room. Fitted under stock 20mm rail, and cleaned barrel. Chronoed at a disappointing 500 fps.. The gun was ordered as. 16J model. Removed the hammer Spring, and in the process stripped the cheap plastic HST adjuster. I had already obtained a replacement metal HST adjuster to replace the plastic one. The hammer Spring supplied had been cut down in size to reduce the power output. The cricket however was shipped with 2 full size hammer springs. Fitted 1 of these and the metal HST adjuster, setup at 11.5 ft/lb. and proceeded to test in my 30yd garden range(full length of garden). In the meantime broke a finger in my right hand, so testing delayed with cast on my right forearm for 3 weeks. The grouping was disappointing. So through clean of barrel with brass brush and polishing rod. Shot approximately 200 pellets through the Cricket and cleaned barrel again. Posted Image Above shows full mag (14 pellets) through area smaller than 10 cent coin at 30 yds outside. Need to test at longer distance now. But the Cricket needed thorough barrel clean and at least 200 pellets through it before good grouping could be obtained. Posted Image |
