I enjoy reading, especially about science, nature and history. At the moment I'm reading up on the early Western front battles of WW1, it really was a case of lions lead by donkeys, Field Martials and other senior officers didn't see eye to eye so didn't talk to each other costing the British Expeditionary Forces tens of thousands of lives they could ill afford.
During the preparation for the Somme, this gun was captured by the BEF near Mametz sometime in early June 1916.
